The book is illustrated by Peter Mullen. It’s only 80 pages, but the Grognard aspect of me no longer desires phat tomes but good-looking, easy to use and high-quality items, and that’s what I associate with Milton and Mullen.
Routinely Itemised: RPGs is an RPG news round-up, and this week we look at the steampunk RPG Vulcania, the new D&D playtest material and Nazi occultists harnessing 2d20 power.
A round-up of the weekly RPG news with new games, starter sets, exclusive art reveals and Covid-19 wrecking some shows.
Published by River Horse and written by Ben Milton (aka Questing Beast) the game comes with two custom dice and a full-length adventure with over 100 scenes.
The pitch for the game is that it can be used by ‘expert roleplayers’ using whatever system they prefer or by everyone using the book’s own set of streamlined rules.
Art from Brian Froud’s The Goblins of Labyrinth will pack the book and Milton even claims the book itself will have a hole where you can store a dice and a flip book mechanic of an owl flying around the page numbers.
In the game, players take on the roles of rogues and raiders, not heroes, who are brave and bold enough to carve out their names in a cursed world.

That RPG is a version of Pathfinder in a sci-fi setting, and the hardcover for Starfinder was released in October 2017. Has […]
