RPG Publisher Spotlight Nominations

Geek Native’s RPG Publisher Spotlight highlights independent tabletop roleplaying game creators, small presses, and innovative studios producing remarkable work. Anyone can nominate a publisher, curator or creator using the form below, and we encourage self-nominations from game designers.

RPG Publisher Spotlight

Every nomination is confidential. Geek Native editorial vets submissions for active output and contactability, assembling a curated shortlist for each round. Our Patreon supporters then vote on the final ballot to select which publisher takes the spotlight feature and in-depth interview.

Nomination and Selection Rules

  • Open Nominations: Readers, players, and publishers may submit nominations at any time.
  • Self-Nominations Allowed: Indie designers and studio owners are welcome to nominate themselves. You know your production pipeline and upcoming releases best.
  • Confidentiality: Nominations remain strictly private. We never publish a list of publishers who were nominated but not shortlisted. We announce only the finalists on the Patreon ballot and the eventual winner.
  • Submission Volume: Mass submissions do not influence the shortlist. Mobilising your community to share enthusiasm is welcome and signals interest, but our editorial vetting prevents popularity contests and ballot-stuffing. One solid nomination is enough to put a publisher on our radar.
  • Hiatus Window: To maintain variety across the tabletop roleplaying game scene, previously featured publishers enter a mandatory 6-month cooldown before they can be shortlisted again.
  • Contactability: We must be able to reach the creative team behind the games. If a publisher lacks a working press contact, public enquiry route, or active web presence, they will not pass editorial triage.
