Dragon Ball GT season 1 is out in the UK this week. That’s 34 episodes, enough to start and finish the Black Star Dragon Ball Saga and take you deep into the Baby Saga. Dragon Ball GT (Grand Touring) is the last in the three original Dragon Ball runs as Dragon Ball Kai is a […]

Irregular Reconnaissance: Anime #4
It’s time for an Irregular Reconnaissance: Anime catch up. The holidays have provided some time to catch up on a series or two. Geek Native’s recently looked at part two of Blue Exorcist and Horizon on the Middle of Nowhere but what of those shows that are being watched one episode at a time? In […]
Dead Agressor: Exodus trailer
The trailer for Fafner in the Azure: Dead Agressor: Exodus contains some fantastic animation. The harbour scene looks incredibly well drawn. The video also seems to focus on stern or gloomy looking people. This is actually a sci-fi anime, a mecha series, that had been planned for 2013 but now has a Q3 2014 release […]
Don’t piss off Satan: A review of Blue Exorcist part 2
In Blue Exorcist part 1 we meet Rin. It’s a tough ride for Rin as he discovers he’s adopted, his foster father is an exorcist and his “natural father” is Satan himself. Rin even has a brother, but he had been too weak at birth to inherit the demonic taint and the deadly blue flames. […]
Nobunagan trailer
Oda Nobunaga started the process behind the unification of Japan in the late 16th century. In Nobunagan, Shio Ogura visits Taiwan on a school trip and is attacked by monsters. Agents from the government agency DOGOO arrive on the scene too, known as E-Gene Holders, they use weapons fused with the spirits of people from […]
Rage of Bahamut trailer
Rage of Bahamut is an anime adaptation of the mobile game. You can download the game from Apple’s AppStore or Google Play. The notes on Google Play say the game was the top grossing app on Android for 6 weeks in a row, enjoyed over 6,000 5 star reviews and lets you trade cards and […]
Bodacious Space Pirates: Abyss of Hyperspace trailer
I was surprised at how much I liked Bodacious Space Pirates the series. It gets a mention in Irregular Reconnaissance Anime #1 where I noted it’s a shame it all comes to an end after 26 episodes. Hurrah for the movie. Bodacious Space Pirates: Abyss of Hyperspace is due out February 2014 and Tatsuo Sato […]
Boob ninja: A review of Horizon on the Middle of Nowhere part 2
It seems pointless to deny that any reviewer who has made it to season 2 of Horizon on the Middle of Nowhere and who is still going has considered the anime’s combination of boobs and ninja. In fact; that’s the concise review. Boobs and ninja. In fairness to Horizon on the Middle of Nowhere it […]
Anime icons in London: K-On! The Movie review
I hadn’t seen any of K-On! I had heard of it and it’s reputation as being a good, safe and solid anime but perhaps that’s why it was always on my “maybe one day” rather than my “must watch while I can” list. K-On! The Movie gave me a chance to fix that. In particular, […]
Second Space Dandy trailer offers English dub
The prestige of the team putting together Space Dandy is without question. There’s Shinichiro Watanabe and Shingo Natsume as Directors, Dai Sato, Keiko Nobumoto, and Kimiko Ueno as scriptwriters and Yoshiyuki Ito for character design. In the States Space Dandy will show on Toonami. That leaves the question as to whether it’ll make it’s way […]
