I was surprised at how much I liked Bodacious Space Pirates the series. It gets a mention in Irregular Reconnaissance Anime #1 where I noted it’s a shame it all comes to an end after 26 episodes.
Hurrah for the movie.
Bodacious Space Pirates: Abyss of Hyperspace is due out February 2014 and Tatsuo Sato will return as director. There’s no news as to whether it’ll get a Western release but the light novel and manga are both still going so it seems possible.
