Third Eye Games are back to Kickstarter as their AMP: Year One range looks to expand again. Year 3 is doing well, still 30 days left to run and yet nearly $6,000 in the bank. The goal? Just $8,000 and you can track it here. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/eloylasanta/amp-year-3-the-war-of-2017-is-here-modern-supers-r [Back this Campaign] Year One was about hard choices; […]

Changing the game: Insight Fantasy RPG Kickstarts

February 22, 2016 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

The idea behind Insight Fantasy is that player’s discovering a truth about something could change the game. These truths go beyond what the GM knows. For example, all NPCs have secrets that can only be revealed by the players. At the time of writing there are two weeks left on the clock and the game […]

D&D fans paid to scan classic RPGs

February 21, 2016 by Andrew Girdwood 1 Comment

Wizards of the Coast and DriveThruRPG are working together to make sure every RPG title published by the WoTC is available digitally. As a result they’ve been digitally re-mastering hundreds of classic D&D titles. All good? Sure, but there’s at least 600 more titles to go. In order to try and move the project along […]

Dalek Dice: Exterminate humans for fun

February 18, 2016 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

The latest Doctor Who game from Cubicle 7 is a dice game that lets you play on the side of Daleks and exterminate UNIT soldiers. Dalek Dice has packaging to die for. I love how the dice tumbler looks like a Dalek’s dangerous eye stalk. The pack comes with 10 custom Dalek dice. Watch out […]

Dark fantasy with destiny – A review of WITCH: Fated Souls

February 17, 2016 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Witch: Fated Souls first popped onto my radar when Angry Hamster took it to Kickstarter. They wanted €4,500 and raised nearly €16,000 instead. A successful Kickstarter does not mean the resulting RPG will be any good. Let’s download a copy of Witch and take a look. From the outset it is clear this is an […]

A second chance for Altais and mankind

February 11, 2016 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Back in 2014 Altais was asking for AUD $40,000 on Kickstarter to fund a good looking fantasy RPG. That project was cancelled. This month the relaunch hit Kickstarter and is asking for a far more modest $10,000. It’s worth a look. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1121209158/altais-age-of-ruin-a-dystopian-fantasy-rpg-relaunc [Back this campaign] This isn’t just a second chance for Parhelia Games’ Aitais […]
