It’s a Happy New Year from New York’s Times Square and Sony pictures are treating us by putting in a Spider-man and one seriously amped Electro. The question is whether The Amazing Spider-Man copes well with the two big villains or whether it gets too bitty and uncoordinated. That’s a fate some fans suggest was […]

First official Guardians of the Galaxy photo
Marvel have released the first official photo from Guardians of the Galaxy. I suppose this counts as “first” given that we had a teaser clip (probably) relating to Guardians of the Galaxy at the end of Thor: The Dark World. The picture shows enigmatic Gamora, then Peter Quill outside his Star-Lord uniform, Rocket Raccoon, Drax […]
Live action Patlabor trailer
The Next Generation – Patlabor is the name of the live action spinoff from the anime Patlabor films. The plan is to make some 12 episodes but release them as 7 chapters. Each chapter will get a cinematic release. It’s expected chapter 1, aka episodes 0 and 1, will hit cinemas in Japan for April […]
Bodacious Space Pirates: Abyss of Hyperspace trailer
I was surprised at how much I liked Bodacious Space Pirates the series. It gets a mention in Irregular Reconnaissance Anime #1 where I noted it’s a shame it all comes to an end after 26 episodes. Hurrah for the movie. Bodacious Space Pirates: Abyss of Hyperspace is due out February 2014 and Tatsuo Sato […]
Kung Fury trailer
[Back this Campaign] This cheese epic from Laser Unicorns is a real live project. The Kickstarter has until the 25th of Jan to run and now has approaching 3,500 backers. The goal? $200,000 to make the whole movie. This is a movie that spoofs the 80s action cop franchises. He has to battle Kung Führer, […]
How to Train Your Dragon 2 trailer shows new dragons
Lots of new dragons and a certain key character are revealed in this How to Train Your Dragon 2 trailer. Vikings riding Dragons certainly makes for an interesting world. Toothless seems to be extra cheeky as usual.
Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar trailer
We’re expecting Interstellar to be out towards the end of 2014 and for the marketing to remind us that this sci-fi is from the writer of Inception and The Dark Knight Rises. I wonder if they’ll mention Christopher Nolan and Superman? The trailer doesn’t give much away but Intersteller will follow adventurers from Earth who […]
The Legend of Hercules trailer
What do you think? Leave your thoughts in the comment box below as the internet hasn’t been all that kind to the trailer. We have Kellan Lutz as the Greek hero Hercules blessed with incredible strength but cursed with having to work for a douche of a King. It seems to me as if they’re […]
Live action Kiki’s Delivery Service trailer
Have you seen a successful live action version of a popular anime? Hayao Miyazaki’s Kiki’s Delivery Service is giving it a good go. There are some changes, though. Studio Ghibli only covered the first of two stories by Eiko Kadono but the live action will stretch to both. This is the adventure of a young […]
