Is Minuum the keyboard for tomorrow?

This is an Indiegogo campaign that’s passed its fund raising goal already. There are 29 days left, at time of posting, and they’ve raised $30,000 of the $10,000 they were asking for.

The keyboard is interesting because it allows for lots more screen space on smartphones and tablets while you’re tying but also because it seems to be very adaptable. We will see Google Glasses make an attempt to go mainstream and there’s a race to turn TV sets into connected devices that interact with users. All these new technologies have input method challenges and Minuum’s approach does feel like a solution. Sure, it’s neither voice nor gesture but it is an input method that everyone’s already comfortable with.

The lowest perk level is $5 and gets you free access to all future versions of premium Minuums. I can see why people are rushing in.
