Snow White and the Huntsman trailer

November 12, 2011 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

This movie may turn out to be pretty darn cool. In it’s favour it has Thor’s Chris Hemsworth (let’s not forget he was George Kirk in Star Trek too). It also has Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen. However, concerns ahoy, Snow White is Kirsten Stewart from Twilight. Now, see, maybe Stewart is excellent. While […]

Just now the aim of the game is to find a Monolith full of stars, only when you finally play the Monolith card (which you stole from the future) alongside your Stars one of your opponents reminds you that your Time Traveller is currently suffering from Brain Parasites preventing you from winning. Star Trek nipple tassels

August 26, 2011 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

It’s alright to discuss nipple tassels on a geek blog if the context is burlesque. We score geek points for suggesting that “pasties” is a more appropriate word than tassels too… after all, there are no dangly bits here. We certainly score geek points if we bring Star Trek into the burlesque pasties equation. That’s […]

Freesat channel CBS Action (meh, okay; it’s on that Murdock channel that has the rights to Game of Thrones in the UK too) have got their hands on Star Trek. I was pointed in the direction of this so-called interview with Patrick Stewart as part of the launch party. Really; I can’t get my head […]

This is a music video for Bruno Mar’s album Doo-Wops & Hooligans (iTunes link). It’s all about Leonard Nimoy. I didn’t spy much of a Fringe shoutout in it but there’s more than enough Star Trek references. The vid’s clealry working. There’s been over a quarter of a film views on YouTube since this went […]
