March 19, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

The BBC have released some more teasing clips for The Bells of St John. In one we see Clara Oswald on board (an old bike, as it happens) as she and the Doctor apparently ride into the battle. In the other we see the Doctor still trying to recruit the impossible girl.

March 16, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

The latest trailer for Doctor Who series 7 puts the mystery of Clara Oswald in the trailer. Don’t you remember? Ask the Doctor, describing Clara Oswald as the only mystery worth solving. Along with lots of Clara the new trailer showcases a lot new monsters. We don’t get a glance at the Spoonheads but do […]

Lost Doctor Who episode regenerates through animation

March 16, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

There are Doctor Who episodes missing. The show is so old that it harks back to a time when companies, even the BBC, didn’t see the point in trying to perserve recordings. In fact, the final adventure of the first doctor – The Tenth Planet – is missing its last episode. The good news is […]

Cthulhu Exterminates

March 13, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Friendly? I don’t think so. Inside their armoured hulls the Daleks are horrible, tentacled, green mutants with a bad attitude. These intergalactic horrors have gone beyond time and space. Are Daleks just mini-Cthulhu horrors? Perhaps? Let’s jump to the end, mash them all up, put them on a t-shirt and parade around the local gaming […]

Hey Ho, Lets Go – Doctor Who Ramones

March 11, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

This Gimmick Tees is a mashup of Doctors and the punk band Ramones. A classic but unexpected mix. This is a punk bad with hits like “Hey Ho, Lets Go”, “Pet Cemetery” and even “I Wanna Be Sedated”. There’s a touch of punk in the Doctor, I think.

Doctor Who: Journeys through Time [infographic]

March 11, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

This infographic, which cleverly marks itself as incomplete, marks which Doctors have travelled when. At a glance it shows you how far back or how far forward each of the generations of the Doctor have explored. If you’re a New Who only fan then the results might surprise you. Some Doctors, like the Third, had […]

A Doctor Who: The First Doctor Sourcebook review

March 9, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Doctor Who – The First Doctor Sourcebook is the first in a series of sourcebooks to support Cubicle 7’s Doctor Who: Adventures in Time and Space RPG and to celebrate the 50th anniversary year of Doctor Who. It all began on a November night in 1963. Two schoolteachers followed one of their students, a strange […]
