King for a Day hatches, ready to scare us all
Post World Games‘ King for a Day is now live at Drivethru RPG. This is a large, systemless, fantasy sandbox campaign with a focus on the sinister rather than splatter. The style is Lovecraft and the campaign is a chunky toolkit of people, places and events all pointed towards a “horrific and unreal finale”. The […]
Magic on Facebook and SEALs v Monsters: Weston Ochse talks 666
Weston Ochse is a former intelligence officer and a Bram Stoker Award winning author. At the start of this month Geek Native took a look at his SEAL Team 666, enjoyed it and started to ask Weston about roleplaying games, film rights to the book and even about magic rituals on social media. Amazingly, he […]
A review of Stitched Volume 1
Stitched is a horror graphic novel (and movie!) from the Northern Irish author and comic book creator Garth Ennis and the highly respected Mike Wolfer. Ennis is known for the likes of Preacher and Marvel’s Punisher. Wolfer has worked on Crossed, the Night of the Living Dead and Gravel. I think that rather sets the […]
SEAL Team 666 review
While reading Seal Team 666 I twice described the book as “US SEALs battle demons”. The first time I did so the reaction was; “sounds awful”. The second time the response was; “my kind of book!”. Now I’m using the phrase again in this review. It fits. SEAL Team 666 is the story of an […]
The Cabin in the Woods novel review
“Five Friends Go To A Remote Cabin In The Woods. Bad Things Happen. If You Think You Know The Story, Think Again.” The Cabin In The Woods is the official movie novelisation of the self-named film. The film was directed by Joss Whedon, of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and The Avengers fame in partnership with […]

It follows Craig, a man who has moved across the US to be with his long-distance girlfriend, Daphne and escape certain “troubles” back home. Unfortunately their new apartment has an existing, inhuman tenant. The book itself […]
A look inside… The Art of Dead Space
Dead Space 3 is on the way. We’ve got the trailers set on the icy planet, gamers seem to accept that that’s not space but that it still looks like Dead Space. The art of Dead Space is compelling. The visuals are a strong part of the game. Fans can now buy Martin Robinson’s The […]
LARP movie: Knights of Badassdom first official trailer
LARPers accidently summon a succubus. I really hope this is a laugh with the LARPers rather than laugh at the LARPers movie. Okay, sure, given it’s style I think we’ll be laughing at some of the quirky characters.. but, gosh, let’s see how this one plays out. Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister in Game of Thrones, […]
Gruesome zombie teddy bears
Created by Phillip Blackman of Undead Teds is this family of rather gruesome teddy bears. They make me think some spoilt brat is going to regret throwing this teddy bear out of the window. The bear returns from the dead and wants dread ted revenge! Via Nerdcore.
