There’s no doubt that Last Exile is stunning. The only doubt I have, as I start to form notes for this review, is how to describe it. There’s quirky sky machines that look awfully mechanical but let’s not use steampunk – there’s no steam, after all. Skypunk? Art nouveau sky pirates? That might work. Let’s […]

Knights of Sidonia trailers
Humans fled Earth a thousand years ago after it was destroyed by the shapeshifting giant monsters called Gauna. It’s not known what happened to the massive spaceships the last of mankind took to as they lost contact with one another and were chased by the Gauna. Sidonia is one such craft. It’s protected by large […]
Meet the new Fairy Tail
I’m still watching through Fairy Tail. It’s manages to be quite catchy despite being a little cheesy. We know there’s a big announcement for the show coming up, don’t know what it is but do know it’ll appear on the official site next week. In the mean time designer Shinji Takeuchi has been releasing sketches […]
Dice and Slice: Mixing gaming with grub
Would you mix a webseries on gaming with a webseries on food? You might if you wanted to fight back against the perception that gamers are just interested in junk food. Illustrated by French Deviant artist Sayuki-hime is Saya from Blood-C. In the Blood-C anime Saya Kisaragi is an extremely polite girl who has a secret job as Furukimono hunter or monster hunter. First trailers of Star Wars: Rebels
We’ve two promos from Disney for the new Star Wars series – Star Wars Rebels. They’re part of the “Ignite” and “Spark” teasers so-called either because it’s the ignition of the rebellion or because the feature character seems to have a thing for fireballs. I get why Disney will be keen to put the emphasis […]

She Makes Comics sets high but worthwhile Kickstarter goal
[Back this Campaign] There’s no doubt in my mind that She Makes Comics is a worthy Kickstarter. The quote at the end of the pitch video from producer Karen Green makes that clear. She says; There are a lot of women in this club and there is always room for more. The team are asking […]
Second impressive trailer for Game of Thones season 4
All men must die. This is the second trailer for Game of Thrones season 4 and it’s pretty awesome. It looks like everyone is out for revenge, lost in war… and meanwhile Winter is coming. While we have to wait a bit for season 4 the good news is that season 3 is out on […]
