Space Battleship Yamato gets itself a poster

February 12, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

The live action of the oh-so-old anime Space Battleship Yamato has a shiny new poster to tease us with. I’m in mixed minds about the anime. It shows its age! The movie looks pretty impressive though. I wonder if there is any chance of it ever getting a UK release. Ever. If you’ve not seen […]

Akira live action pushes on with the Hughes Brothers

February 12, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood 3 Comments

There have been loads of reports, attempts, whispers and moves on the Akira live action front over the year. Will we ever see it? We now know that Hawk Ostby and Mark Fergus; some of the talent behind Iron Man and Children of Men, are writing/have written a new script. Vulture, New York’s Magazine is […]

M Night Shyamalan’s Last Airbender trailer

February 11, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

I’ve been following the build up to this movie for a while… and I have to say that it looks better with each snippet they show us. That’s their plan, though, huh? Anyway; check our the latest official trailer for M Night Shyamalan’s Last Airbender and judge for yourself.

And we shall know no fear! The Ultramarines wireframe test

February 11, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Bob Thompson from Codex has been letting likely fans of Ultramarines, the forthcoming Games Workshop Warhammer 40K movie, preview some of the animation from Image Metrics. Image Metrics is a London based but Hollywood known animation studio. They’re involvement with the project is one of the many reasons to talke the Ultramarines movie seriously.

Clash of the Titans posters

February 6, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

I don’t think this post needs anything in the way of an introduction. Clash of the Titans was a great movie and the new one looks it’ll live up the challenge.

There’s a whole range of new posters from the movie that go a long way to show off the awesome imagery.

Even more Alice in Wonderland

February 5, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

This is the second TV trailer for Alice in Wonderland. It looks as good as everything that’s come before it. What we can see is that Alice is proposed to during a Victorian party. She escapes. She escapes to Wonderland where the Red Queen has taken over but cleverly worked out that pigs make good […]

The Last Airbender trailer for the Super Bowl

February 5, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Okay; so! The Super Bowl is some big American TV event. It’s like rugby but a little more cautious. Only joking! The main thing is there’s a new version of M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender trailer and it looks pretty cool.

This means Wilde will be staring alongside Daniel (James Bond) Craig who’s replacing Robert Downey, Jr. The news has been widely reported but […]

Sam Raimi to helm The Shadow remake?

February 2, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

IESB writer Peter Georgiou’s been lucky enough to get his mitts on a second draft of a The Shadow script. You can tell he likes it. There are characters we’ll care about. There’s action. There’s nudity. There’s a risk it’ll be toned down in order to get a lower age rating and that may wreck […]

New Clash of the Titans trailer

February 2, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

I’m really looking forward to the new Warner Bros Clash of the Titans. If it’s anything less than awesome I’m going to be disappointed. I imagine because of Sam Worthington’s Avatar success the movie’s going to be much more popular than it would have been otherwise. This will mean a crowded cinema. Bah! Just for […]
