Back in June 2018, over 400 gamers raised more than $20K so that Storm Bunny Studios could create The World of Alessia Campaign Primer.
That primer, a 5e compatible book with over 330 pages, is now available to buy at DriveThruRPG.
Alessia is a setting which blends Wuxia, high fantasy and science fiction. Magic and technology coexist, magic drives the technology.
The Primer includes 27 playable species and, you guessed it, these replace the “races” of traditional fantasy games to decouple the usual cultural and social assumptions that come with them.
There are 9 character classes;
- Arcanist
- Marauder
- Monk
- Ninja
- Oracle
- Psion
- Seer
- Tecker
In addition, the primer offers up a full chapter of feats, skills and new backgrounds and the book has rules for skyship combat and includes exoskeletons and vehicles.
Storm Bunny Studio’s Alessia page has both a 5e compatible logo and Starfinder compatible. Paizo announced playtest for Starfinder mech just last month.
It’s a big book that costs $29.99 for the PDF, but the 330+ pages are full-colour, and it’s taken two years to get to this point. A physical book is expected out next month.
The publisher already has World of Alessia: Token Set 1 and Dragonsword for the setting available for purchase.
