Aetherium started off as a miniatures game from Anvil Eight set in a bleak cyberpunk world divided in two.
There’s the real-life, the Meatspace, that’s horrid and ruined. There’s also the other dimension of the Aetherium that can be accessed through virtual reality.
The skirmish game has been out since 2015 and how now been joined by a 256-page RPG which you can get on DriveThruRPG.
The usual price is $50, but the game is currently marked down to $20.
Aetherium uses a d10 system for the meatspace in which you have to roll as many successes as a requirement to beat a difficulty number.r
In the alternative reality of the Aetherium it’s not d10 that are rolled but d12s instead. These are used when players are trying to hack the programs that customise the very dimension to their needs.
You can read more about both versions of the game and Anvil Eight at their official website.
