Welcome to the first Echoes from the Wyrd in 2003 and the first of the newsletter to be published in the new timetable. GameWyrd will be publishing the site’s popular ezine-cum-newsletter at the start of the month rather than two-thirds of the way through it.
This is another great issue. We can offer you previews of Goodman Game’s Complete Guide to Wererats, Salamander Game’s Summonaria board game and Bottled Imp Game’s Ash Vampire. In addition to that GameWyrd is very pleased to be able to offer our Wyrdlings exclusive (and free!) Arcane Creation treasure cards from Heathen Oracle.
Freelancer author, founder of the Black Knight Gaming Guild and winner of CyberCon’s Best GM prize for two years in a row, Jeffrey Quinn is put in the hot chair for the e-View.
Some of the benefits of publishing Echoes from the Wyrd at the start of the month is that the GameWyrd news section lets you know who’s won last month’s prizes, which site has the Mark of Approval for December and what’s going on with the interactive stories. As always this Echo presents a roundup of favourite reviews and industry news. Since this is the start of a brand new year in the industry news we take a look at a few of the forthcoming releases including Mongoose’s Conan and Lone Wolf, a/state, Big Eyes Small Mouth d20 and… oh, yes, let’s not forget the new and revised core rules from Wizards of the Coast!
You can check to see whether you’ll receive email alerts when new issues of Echoes from the Wyrd are published by checking My Echo or by editing the details in your Profile page.
