British TTRPG publisher Rowan, Rook & Decard have told fans they won’t attend GenCon in 2025.

Their announcement explains that the decision was due to safety, but they will still manage to have some presence at the huge event.
We’re not bringing any staff from the UK to GenCon 2025. Crossing the border into the US simply isn’t safe for us at the moment, and it doesn’t appear to be getting safer.
Later on, they add;
Thanks to our friends in the US, we’ll still have a presence at the show. Maura, who oversaw our games schedule last year, has set up her own convention business and will be selling our games from her stall. She’ll have all our new stuff: the fancy redesigns of the one-pagers, plenty of Heart for sale, including the new GM screens and the new adventure and everything. Go say hello and buy something off her.
Rowan, Rook & Decard point out that they’re not the first to make this decision, and they speculate they won’t be the last.
It’s not just safety. The publisher notes that there’s also the risk of huge last-minute disruption if there’s another curveball trade ruling. The publisher suggests that American fans can contact their elected representatives and protest.
It’s better news for UK fans as Rowan, Rook & Decard will be at the UK Games Expo.
