Steampunk style Warhammer Witch Hunter Hat

August 19, 2015 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Vin Diesel and Elijah Wood have a movie called the Last Witch Hunter coming up. I have to wonder whether we’ll see any iconic “witch hunter hats”. I rather like this one from Spanish Etsy store PropCornShop. [I need this] My first glance of this hat made me think steampunk but it’s actually a Warhammer […]

Fancy a look at what Fatshark and Games Workshop are putting together? Warhammer: End Times Vermintide is a first person shooter-meets-melee combat game. This is very early footage and the final game almost certainly will not be like this. In this clip we see the heroes on the streets of Ubersreik in an attempt to […]

Rumours are swirling that Games Workshop are about to reboot Warhammer Fantasy. Not only that, some sleuths suggest the company will stop supporting the previous generations. This is a brilliant and bold first effort cosplay from Captain Izzy. The costume is a dark elf sorceress from Warhammer and it was worn for the first time at the Montreal Comic Con in September. Summoning Warhammer to the real life battlefield

April 12, 2014 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

This is impressive. These photographs come from the Czech Republic and a LARP event called “Smrthihlav 2014“. In the event, in the grounds of Orlik Castle, gamers brought the forces of The Empire to life to do battle against the armies of Chaos. Hat tip too Luke Plunkett at io9 for the find and to […]

TradeCraft Bonus: Badges from dead RPGS

October 26, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Greenfield Games has an Etsy store with an unusual collection of pib buttons – or badges as we’d say in the UK. They’re not reprints of copyright artwork. Instead, Greenfield Games use RPG material that have been splashed with one too many diet colas, been carried by one too many bags and chewed once too […]
