Kissing gay couple on Spider-man cover. Yay Marvel

August 3, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Lots of people were worried when Disney bought Marvel. Fear not, the good fight lives on…. or, at least, Disney hasn’t started to go through the back catalogue and started to censor things. Drawn by David Garcia from the Ultimate Comics Spider-man (2009) #15 is a rather nice cover. Poor Spidey doesn’t look as if […]

More Heroic – Seven heroes in one mask

April 21, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

This design is clever. It features seven heroes (or parts of them!) in one mask. It’s the sort of thing that t-shirts were invented for. It was designed by Steven Anderson, the Glasgow based designer, responsible for this clever superhero and villain set. Can you work out all seven heroes? The spoilers are down below […]

Some teasers below but check out Seven Hundred’s flickr stream for all 82.

Sam Raimi to helm The Shadow remake?

February 2, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

IESB writer Peter Georgiou’s been lucky enough to get his mitts on a second draft of a The Shadow script. You can tell he likes it. There are characters we’ll care about. There’s action. There’s nudity. There’s a risk it’ll be toned down in order to get a lower age rating and that may wreck […]

Raimi and McGuire now off Spiderman 4

January 12, 2010 by Paul Leave a Comment

The Sam Raimi-helmed 4th Spiderman film has been in trouble for a while, with reported conflicts between Raimi’s vision and Sony’s desire for more marketable characters. Well, according to a press release from Sony this morning, they’re looking to do a reboot of the successful franchise, without the director or previous star, Tobey McGuire…

John Malkovich to play The Vulture in Spider-Man 4

January 11, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

There’s a fight over the Spider-Man 4 script that’s threatening to derail the already late movie completely. Sam Raimi wants the villain to be The Vulture. The studio doesn’t think that’ll sell well enough. Raimi doesn’t want a repeat of Spider-Man 3 which was rather confusingly stuffed with villains. What we do know – if […]
