Adorably evil Weeping Angel poppet

March 6, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Lani, a true Doctor Who fan, has created this marvelous Weeping Angel poppet. I think poppet is a cross between plushy and puppet. The process is shared on Crafter.org and wasn’t as easy as it first looked. Lani wrote; I thought, “Hey Lani, this should be a piece of cake!!!…I mean, it is just one […]

March 3, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

This collection of not-so-fierce monsters come from the Big Bad Toy Store. They’re all recognisable; tauntauns, banthas, wampas and even a rancor monster. It’s not usual to see a rancor monster in plush form.

February 24, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

This cute family of Minecraft Creepers are the creation of Lithium Boy. The big one, the first he created, is pretty tall for a plushy and reaches 13 inches tall. If only Creepers in Minecraft were like this. They’d be far less scary.

Toy Vault have signed a deal with Twentieth Century Fox to create a number of Firefly table-top games. These games, based on Joss Whedon’s TV show, are expected late Spring 2013. These table-top games will likely be board games rather than card or RPG. In addition to the games, Toy Vault’s license will include plushies […]

July 17, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood 1 Comment

Piranha plants were made famous by Mario. The original Piranha Plants were only found in pipes but could shoot fire. These days, Piranha Plants have escaped from the confines of the pipes but their fireball power is not seen very often. The plants were first seen in World 1-2 of Super Mario Bros as one […]
