Doctor Who clip: First minute of The Eleventh Hour

March 28, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

I was under the impression that the BBC were going to give us the first 60 seconds of the Eleventh Hour. I’ll have to go back and re-read their blog post. What we’ve got is the first 43 seconds. I feel as if we’re due another 17 seconds! This is the first of a few […]

BBC America’s Doctor Who series 5 trailer

March 22, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

The early releases of this online trailer where geo-tarded so you had to be in the USA to watch them. Clearly, that didn’t last long. What we have here is an action orientated teaser for series 5 Doctor Who. Actually; it’s not all about the action – quite a bit seems to reflect the Doctor’s […]

Sci-Fi channel found guilty of showing too many ads in the UK

March 22, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Official British watchdog has found that NBC Universal’s Sci-Fi channel breached the rules by showing too many adverts for the second time in the month. Rule four of the British code on the scheduling of television advertising (COSTA) states that TV stations are only allowed to show 12 minutes of ads every hour. The Sci-Fi […]

More official 11th Hour Doctor Who pictures from the BBC

March 22, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

The BBC have released more teaser stills from the Eleventh Hour (for the 11th Doctor) opening episode of Series 5(1) of Steven Moffat’s Doctor Who. If you sneaked a peak at the captured TV teaser clip then these stills add further evidence/speculation to certain first encounters. Still not sure about that skirt, though.

Flash mob does Spaced gun fight in London’s Tralfalgar Square

March 22, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

One of the famous scenes from the cult hit Spaced must be the gun fight. Actually; all of the gun fights. Sadly, I can’t bring you a YouTube embed of the original as C4 has cracked down. But I can linkylink you to C4’s YouTube clip of one of the slow motion fights. Totally notice […]

New and official Doctor Who series 5 press launch trailer

March 21, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Okay, so we’ve got the unofficial clip but that doesn’t mean we can’t take a sneaky peak at the latest, official, press trailer. It looks like the Dalek has a British flag on it. It also looks like a bit of a theme with Amy Pond floating through space. Something’s up with that.

Doctor Who: The Eleventh Hour trailer clip

March 20, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Don’t watch this if you’re very allergic to spoilers. If you’re only slightly concerned about spoilers then I don’t think this clip gives away any more of the plot than the end of series 4 did. Some thoughts; easy to speculate that the ginger little girl grows up to be Amy Pond. Could be cool. […]

Leaked pictures from Game of Thrones set

March 20, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Two pictures taken just before shooting began for a Games of Throne scene have surfaced on Winter is Coming’s Facebook Fanpage. These photographs came from Doune Castle. I assume that’s the Doune Castle in Stirling – not a million miles from this Scottish blogger.

SyFy moves us Three Inches

March 16, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

The SyFy channel (still called SciFi here in the UK; for now) has commissioned a 90 minute pilot of a “super” hero show called Three Inches. Remember when people poked fun at series 1 of Heroes? People with un-super powers? Well. That’s Three Inches. The pilot focuses on Walter, a daydreamer who gets hit by […]

Joost owners Adconion promote Hunt to MD and drop anime from roster

March 16, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

The two moves are unlikely to be related but Adconion Media the network darling that bought struggling video on demand site Joost have been busy with changes. The former Head of Video from Adconion’s Australian operations Matthew Hunt has been promoted to Managing Director. He’ll replace Mike James who left last year. The video connection […]
