It’s always a challenge working out which anime trailers to share on Geek Native. I assume that most readers, like this blogger, don’t speak Japanese. It’s also tempting to post this video without explanation. I think the explanation is what makes the video surreal and funny though! In the anime Naiyoru! Nyaruko-san the thing that […]

New Legend of Korra trailer
The Legend of Korra is the sequel to Avatar: The Last Airbender. It’s set 70 years after The Last Airbender, and Korra is the Avatar after Aang. Korra, born a waterbender, must battle Oman and his “anti-benders”. I enjoyed Avatar, although I still can’t quite get used to the term “bending”. In fact, this trailer […]
A preview of Mass Effect anime Paragon Lost – do people hate it?
Dailymotion posted a video from SXSW of Funimation‘s Mass Effect 3. Okay, there’s also about a quarter of the video given over to the Dragon Age anime too – but that’s no hardship. We find out that James Vega will be the main character. We’ll find out all the stuff he’s been up to. Funimation […]

Eureka Seven Ao trailer
Eureka Seven Ao is the latest in the Eureka Seven line. It’s described as a “proper sequel” set sometime after the original series – thus avoiding the “alternative universe” sequel that some fans dislike. The anime follows two main characters; Ao Fukai is a child being raised by an old doctor called Toshio because both […]
Space Brothers trailer
Adapted from Chuya Koyama’s manga, Space Brothers is an anime about two brothers who once thought they saw a UFO and pledged to become astronauts. Except, well, the eldest brother only manages to land a job in a car company. Even that doesn’t go very well – he gets fired. Favourite scene in the trailer […]
Hiiro no Kakera trailer
Hiiro no Kakera was once a game for the PlayStation 2. It popped over to the PSP and even the Nintendo DS. It’s a sign of the depth of the plot that it’s travelled so well and is now coming to life as an anime. There’s usually a busy collection of Hirro No Kakera trades […]
Space Battleship Yamato 2199 trailer
This is the second trailer for Space Battleship Yamato 2199. It’s a whopper; weighing in at just shy of 4 minutes long. Space Battleship Yamato 2199 is a remake of the 1974 series (which was known as Star Blazers to some Western audiences) and looks like it’ll be following pretty much the same cast and […]
