Nightfall Games has brought its cult dystopian splatterpunk setting to Pinnacle Entertainment Group’s ruleset with a dedicated Kickstarter campaign for SLA Industries for Savage Worlds. Seeking an initial funding goal of £5,000, the Muirkirk-based publisher has secured over £19,300 across 245 backers, ensuring a complete three-volume hardback conversion of the World of Progress.
The campaign bridges over three decades of gritty corporate lore with modern tabletop design, adapting the notoriously lethal setting into Savage Worlds’ fast-paced trait-die engine. Instead of a single core manual, the team has prepared three distinct 200-page core volumes: the Players’ Guide, the Gamesmaster’s Guide, and the Threats Analysis bestiary.
Visceral mechanics: Collateral dice and corporate consequences
At its heart, the adaptation replaces standard skill checks with Savage Worlds’ stepped polyhedral dice, where attributes range from d4 to d12 alongside the standard Wild Die d6. To capture the signature lethality and industrial violence of SLA Industries, Nightfall Games designed several setting-specific rules that alter core combat:
- The Collateral Die: Adapted from Savage Worlds autofire shooting mechanics, this extra die applies to melee fighters, medics, scouts, and techies using corporate-grade gear. Instead of granting re-rolls, it adds extra dice into the pool.
- Consequences: Rolling a 1 on a Collateral Die triggers severe fallout based on critical failure parameters. You may secure a success only to disintegrate your cover, attract rival combatants, or follow a red herring.
- Armour Degradation: A streamlined post-combat armour damage check tracks whether gear holds together or turns into useless shredding, bypassing individual scratch tallies while retaining the attrition of urban warfare.
- Security Clearance Fear: The rules eschew sprawling psychological lookup tables in favour of direct, non-lethal wounds. The severity of psychological shocks scales directly with an Operative’s Security Clearance Level (SCL).
Three core hardbacks and full 2nd edition compatibility
The product line spans three separate hardback releases designed to cover 600 total pages across the World of Progress:
| Volume | Focus and Contents |
| Players’ Guide | Rules for nine playable species (including Frothers, Stormers, Wraithen, and Shaktar), equipment, character creation, and 2nd Edition conversion guidelines. |
| Gamesmaster’s Guide | Deep corporate background, setting secrets, campaign structures, scenario hooks, and NPC stat conversion mechanics. |
| Threats Analysis | A dedicated bestiary indexing enemies across the corporate spectrum: Cult, Conflict, Collateral, and Corporate. |
Backers who already own the extensive SLA Industries 2nd Edition library receive official conversion systems within all three books, enabling players to bring forward prior alien species, training packages, and creature statblocks without discarding their existing collection.

Pledge tiers and campaign progress
Reward tiers range from digital entry points to complete collector packages. Backers who want only digital access can get the complete digital catalogue across all three core releases in the PDF Bundle for £30.
Physical collectors can get the standalone hardback Players’ Guide plus a white BPN coin for £35, or step up to All the Books for £80 for hardback copies and PDFs of all three core manuals. The SLAVAGE Starter tier (£100) and the KS Exclusive Bundle (£140) add physical accessories, including custom Bennies, Uni tokens, and the official SLA Industries action deck.
Nightfall Games reports that production is substantially advanced: all artwork is finished, 90% of the text is written, and 75% of the page layout is completed. Fulfilment operations will route via regional hubs, including GMS Hobby Games Logistics in the UK and Last Mile Logistics in the US and Canada, with rewards scheduled for delivery in June 2027.
The campaign for Savage SLA operates under an all-or-nothing funding model and will conclude on Thursday, 15 October 2026 at 10:02 PM BST.
