Whether you’re ready for it or not ComingSoon.net has a picture of a poster for the forthcoming The Smurfs movie. Even the trailers for Alvin and Chipmunks were so bad that they couldn’t be watched. Can The Smurfs movie do any better? It’s slated for its American release on December 17th in 2010.

District 9 score samples (via @scifi_online)

Sci Fi Wire have posted a Sony widget that lets you sample some of the District 9 score. I’m going to find the time to go see the movie after it launches in the UK (early September) but I suspect the score is worth grabbing of iTunes and using a gamer backdrop music.
