This stunning model of Emily the corpse bride is actually a cake. The model was created by Kidacity for the 2013 Cakeweenie. Cakeweenie celebrated Tim Burton’s 55th birthday by gathering 100 bakers and cake artits from around the world. Together they made dozens of wonderfully spooky and tasty treats.
Tim Burton inspired Han and Chewbacca
Sometimes a single image can sum up a whole, complex, idea. In this case Keh Choon has an illustration of Han Solo and Chewbacca that says Tim Burton. Will we see Tim Burton produce any of the new Star Wars movies? I doubt it… but you never know.
Picture this… Tim Burton’s The Avengers
Imagine if Tim Burton had created The Avengers. What would Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk, Hawkeye and Black Widow look like? As it happens, Tim Burton certainly didn’t create and probably has never drawn The Avengers. However, deviant artist Xenia Rassolova, a talented 18 year old from Canada, has and she has adopted […]
The Tim Burton inspired Pokemon of bleak doom
Vaughn Pinpin is soaking up internet awe this week. His collection of Pokemon art is impressing and spooking everyone. These are no ordinary Pokemon. These are Pokemon that might have crawled from the dangerous dark places of the world as creations of Tim Burton. Tim Burton’s Blastoise Tim Burton’s Bulbasaur Tim Burton’s Charizard Tim Burton’s […]

This isn’t an article on proctology but a review of the latest book from Kevin Smith – Clerks, Good Will Hunting, Mallrats and plenty more. Fatty McNoFly. That Kevin Smith. Cheshire coffee cat
What can I say about this picture other than I’ve filed it under “cool”. # This Cheshire Cat is clearly from – on inspired by – Tim Burton’s Alice. He has that sort of lavicious grin that seems more suited to an adult Alice. What do you think?
Alice In Wonderland featurette
An Alice in Wonderland featurette that not only teases us with more clips from the film but has short commentary and insight from Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikowska, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway and Mr Burton. Can’t wait to see this.
Even more Alice in Wonderland
This is the second TV trailer for Alice in Wonderland. It looks as good as everything that’s come before it. What we can see is that Alice is proposed to during a Victorian party. She escapes. She escapes to Wonderland where the Red Queen has taken over but cleverly worked out that pigs make good […]
Lots more Alice in Wonderland stuff; art & music
On the plus side we’ve got some new art and shots from Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. On the negative side we’ve also got the Avril Lavigne song “Alice” from the movie. Don’t get me wrong. My music taste is miles wide and I’m big and ugly enough to say what i like. I have liked […]
