At Microsoft’s Xbox Series X July games event a new Fable game was announced. There’s even a teaser for it.
The RPG is being developed by Playground Games, a 10-year-old studio based in Leamington Spa, in the UK, who are previously only really known for their work on Forza. Microsoft bought them in 2018 so, at a guess, they’ve been working on Fable ever since then.
Fable, which might be a reboot rather than Fable 4, will be available for the Xbox Series X and Windows 10 machines. We don’t know when.
Technically, the most recent Fable game was the 2018 Kickstarted Fable Fortune (discontinued in March). Really, though Fable Anniversary, a remastered version of Fable: The Lost Chapters, is our most recent experience of the RPG and that came out in 2013.
