TurnKey #1, a new comic book that tries to present its character classes with a bit of imagination, has just past its funding goal of $4,200 thanks to more than 200 backers. There’s still three weeks, at the time of writing, to get involved so this is shaping up to be a popular comic. You can follow progress on the campaign page and check out the characters below.
A pledge of $5 gets you a PDF of the comic book, and one of $10 will get you both a physical copy of the comic and a digital one.
Here’s the synopsis; events kick off when a well-known lawman and bounty-hunter is sentenced to become the ‘Turnkey’. The crime he is accused of is treason and becoming the Turnkey means being the jailor of the mystical dungeon for the Five Rings Kingdom.
This is a kingdom facing a Great War, and as the politics and drama unfold the position of Turnkey comes into focus. It might just be the case that the key to the High Crown is on the wrong side of those prison walls and the forgotten dungeons beyond them.
