Cubus Games has a new gamebook on the way. ‘Normal Club builds on the studio’s work with titles like Sol Invictus and Frankenstein Wars in blending books with games. The result is an experience that’s mainly reading but peppered with choice and game elements.
‘Normal Club: An Unusual Amount of Paranormal Hot Spots is due out for both Android and iOS on June 5th and is an adaption of the book by Philip Armstrong. Armstrong’s version won the Windhammer Prize in 2013 for short gamebook fiction.
Cubus Games’ version lets you explore Buckcreek, a town with a lot of supernatural in it, and build your team. There are hundreds of choices with interactive elements and binaural audio.
You can play the book or read the game on your tablet, but here are some of the phone screenshots.
