Marco Maggi and Francesco Nepitello are known for games like The One Ring and Cthulhu Tales have teamed up with CMON for a zombie bashing RPG.
Zombicide: The Role-Playing Game is described as a combination of the classic zombie action board game with the exciting character creation, development and immersion of a role-playing game.
Players begin by creating original Survivors during a Prologue, or a session zero, that narrates their first contact with the undead peril. After that, the Survivors are thrown into the first adventure called “The Crossroad” where they describe and discover how the band got together.
There is a role for a Game Master in Z:RPG. The GM has a set of ‘Zombidice’ which determine the consequences of actions, help determine the strength of the threat and even what the zombies do during combat.

Zombicide: The Role-Playing Game is a partnership with CMON and Need Games! Need Games was founded in Milan just last year, serving as a vehicle for the highly rated Italian designs.
Need Games! has had a busy first year of life, having just funded a Kickstarter for a Dungeons & Dragons 5e campaign called Journey to Ragnarok written by Michele Paroli the art director in the company.
The fickle whims of fate may still derail the Z:RPG zombie hordes as CMON plans to take it to Kickstarter late next year. That’s right; Q4 of 2019. CMON has investors to consider, having grown into a multinational listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
