Statix Press is a new imprint from Titan Comics set up to showcase interesting comic finds from around the world. In March this year, they’ll be releasing Factory, a three-part collection, from writer and artist Yacine ‘Elgo’ Elghorri. Elghorri has worked as a character designer for Matt Groening’s Futurama but this comic is more of a nightmare blend of Mad Max and Fallout.
Mutants trek their way across the deserts of a dangerous planet in search of haven – a place known just as The Factory. Brave readers have the chance to try and follow them.
Elgo told the press;
“The first time I was published in the USA was in the magazine Heavy Metal. I was 22 years old… Years later and after working on movies and TV shows in Los Angeles I briefly worked for Marvel and IDW,”
“However, my French albums have never been translated into English. Today I am excited and happy to have the opportunity to be read by a wider audience thanks to Titan Comics. I hope that people will see something artistically attractive or interesting in the spirit of my mentor Jean Moebius Giraud.”
