May 2014: The death of the Watcher

Uatu the Watcher is a powerful cosmic character in the Marvel universe. He shouldn’t act. He should watch. This teaser postcard was sent my Marvel to Comicvine’s Tony Guerrero. It seems to show the death of the Watcher (or a Watcher).

So what’s happening in May 2014? It’ll likely be more than just the death of a character. The start of a new arc? In movie terms we might expect The Amazing Spider-Man or Guardians of the Galaxy to be out around then? Spider-Man just before and Guardians of the Galaxy afterwards.

Or it may have nothing to do with the films. Do you have any theories?
