Gas Powered Games cancel million dollar Wildman RPG Kickstarter

At the start of the year Gas Powered Games wanted $1,100,000 to fund the Wildman RPG. It as going to be a mix of RTS with RPG.

The update is brief and worrying;

At this point, it makes sense for us to focus our attention on other ways to keep Gas Powered Games running.

That’s right. They’re looking for other ways to keep the company to keep running. I think they’ve been bought. I’ve no inside knowledge but when a company can’t talk about “keep going” news but then has “good news” it smells like M&A. However, why cancel?

No doubt the forums at Gas Powered will be blazing. One question is; if this is a buyout was the Kickstarter just a proof of concept? They had raised $504,000 from over 9,000 backers.
