This movie looks bonkers. I don’t know whether it’s going to be my cup or tea or not. Journey to the West is a Stephen Chow film. He made Kung Fu Hustle and Shaolin Soccer. I’ve seen the former and it was really good.
I recognise Monkey, Pigsy and that fish monster could be Sandy. That’s drawing on the 70s’ “Monkey Magic” version of the story. What’s your take? Tempted or worried it will be too slapstick?
