Alongside the screen announcements, Marvel Comics confirmed an executive restructuring. Longtime Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski has stepped down after nearly nine years to relocate to Tokyo. C.B. Cebulski will direct Marvel’s new original manga publishing division in partnership with Kadokawa. Stephen Wacker officially took over as Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief on 24 July 2026.
Ghost Rider and Black Panther 3 Anchor 2028 Cinema Lineup
Director Shawn Levy joined Ryan Gosling and Kevin Feige on stage to confirm that Ryan Gosling will star as Johnny Blaze in a standalone Ghost Rider feature film scheduled for 2028. The film marks Ryan Gosling‘s first superhero role following his work with Shawn Levy on Star Wars: Starfighter.
Ryan Gosling, actor at Marvel Studios, said in a statement, “As you know, this is a character I’ve wanted to play for a long time.”
Director Ryan Coogler announced that Black Panther 3 will arrive in cinemas on 15 December 2028. Letitia Wright and Winston Duke return to their roles, while David Jonsson joins the cast as the son of T’Challa, taking on the mantle of the Black Panther in a story focused on his coming of age.
Shawn Levy, director at Marvel Studios, said in a statement, “We spent a lot of time last year making Starfighter, and the opportunity as Ryan started talking about this character, I was like, ‘Bro let’s ride.’ We’ll see you in 2028.”
