This weekend at UK Games Expo, Pocket Fox Games and Anarchy 54 shared Stand 4-702. That address, by the way, Hall 4 and stand 702, speaks to the sheer size of the Expo!

A game which made its commercial premiere is House of Cards. That’s a card game designed for 2 to 5 players, with touches of Game of Thrones and Monty Python. How? It’s as cutthroat as Game of Thrones and yet the humour is as wacky as the Pythons.
House of Cards is designed to be played out of the box. The 54 cards can be tipped out, a unique House Card grabbed and the rest played by shuffling and drawing.
If that’s too easy, then more complex characters can add to the complexity, as can different win conditions.
The characters also have unique art cards, and some of their titles are interesting, such as the Tyrant Queen and Stool Grooms.
The 54-card nature of House of Cards is not a fluke. Game designer Paul D. Allen founded Anarchy 54, an independent UK studio, to create compact tabletop games that unite players in the most anarchic way, ingeniously using only 54 cards for each experience.
Anarchy 54 states that the game typically lasts 20 to 45 minutes.
