Tomy are at stand 3-610 at the UK Games Expo this weekend, that’s on the corner of Livingstone Avenue and Performing Nerd Street, and they’ll be launching the Human Controller game.

UKGE has seen TTRPGs, card games, wargames, and board games, but I wonder how often it’s seen as an “interactive challenge with a vibrating headset” game. There’s a companion app, but, as we’re warned, you don’t get a free smartphone with the game.
In Human Controller, players wear the headset that blindfolds them, and then others use a smartphone to vibrate the headset as a means of communication. The goal is to successfully puppet your teammate through tasks and challenges using these buzzing signals.
Tomy says;
This is the first game to present an innovative twist on social interaction and gameplay: you don’t just play the game; you play the players. Its game mechanic introduces a meta-game concept where the “board” is your social environment, and the players are real people.
There are 30 challenges, which are intended to be humorous, to complete, including pretending to be a dog or hunting for certain items. Tomy says you can make up your own challenges as well.
