Star Trek tech getting closer with Sony Ericsson LiveView

I’m quite taken by the Sony Ericsson LiveView. It’s a little device that you can wear like a watch (in fact; I’m sure it can tell the time and be a watch) as a clip.

LiveView works with Android phones to intergrate and get internet access. This means you can use it keep up with RSS feeds or remotely poke your music selection.

I wonder if they’ll do a larger one you could prop up as a digital photo frame. Would be a good way to coordinate a household Google Calendar.

I’m just not sure whether the general public are ready for the LiveView yet. I think what it needs to do is (like the mobile phone) make the move from being seen as tech to being seen as fashion. If it does that jump then it’s future is set.
