Sweet Reincarnation is an anime based on Nozomu Koryu’s Sweet Reincarnation. If you don’t want to wait until July, when the anime releases, you can download the Kindle stories thanks to J-Novel Club.
We know the isekai set-up; someone travels from one world, often ours, and often due to death, and to another fantasy where they become the hero. In this case, they become a chef.
We don’t know whether any Western platforms will gobble up Sweet Reincarnation in time to debut the series with the Japanese launch in July.
“Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire”, another isekai, director Naoyuki Kuzuya is at the helm working with fellow Reborn crew members Mitsutaka Hirota on scripts and Mitsutaka Hirota on character design.
The series is being made by Synergy SP in collab with Studio Comet. TO Books has been publishing the novels, and Lida has been helming the manga adaptation since 2017.
J-Novel describe the first book;
Pastry Mille Morteln, age 9, is both his father’s heir and the reincarnation of an unfulfilled pastry chef. While he dreams of a land filled with sweet treats, there’s a lot to be done first! From learning how to fight, to controlling his new magical talents and doing his best to defend his village from bandits, and yet all he really wants to do is bake the perfect apple pie… Pastry Mille Morteln has his work cut out for him in Sweet Reincarnation.
