I’m in Love with the Villainess will air next year and is one of those animes in which the main character finds themselves living in a dating sim or otome.
The catch? Our office worker wakes up as her player character, decides to ignore all the good-looking male leads, and to romance the game’s main villainess instead.
The anime is based on Inori and Hanagata’s light novels and is being made at Platinum Vision. Love of Kill director Hideaki Oba is at the helm.
Seven Seas have the license to the light novels, and they describe the plot as follows;
Ordinary office worker Ohashi Rei wakes up in the body of the protagonist of her favorite otome game, Revolution. To her delight, the first person to greet her is also her favorite character, Claire Francois—the main antagonist of the story! Now, Rei is determined to romance Claire instead of the game’s male leads. But how will her villainous ladylove react to this new courtship?!
The series is due out in 2023.
