Yu Tomofuji’s Sacrificial Princess & the King of Beasts is getting an anime.
The first trailer was back in August, and now we have a second. We’ve also got the premiere date set for April 2023 in Japan.
J.C. Staff is the studio behind the project, and Sailor Moon Crystal (season 3) director Chiaki Kon is at the helm. Naruto Shippuden’s Sai voice talent, Satoshi Hino, is Leonhart. Kana Hanazawa, who plays Mitsuri Kanroji in Demon Slayer, is Sariphi.
Yen Press has been publishing the manga, and they describe the story;
A young girl has resigned herself to being the next sacrificial meal for the Beast King…but the king is no mere monster! Love is more than skin-deep in this gorgeous fantasy manga.
