There will be at least two official prequel novels to the D&D movie Honour Among Thieves.
The first is The Druid’s Call, by E.K. Johnston, and it is on pre-order already, including an audiobook. Doric, who caused so much faff by wildshaping into an owlbear is the druid in question. There’s not much in the blurb from Amazon;
Discover Doric’s powerful druid origins in this thrilling young adult prequel to the film Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.
The Druid’s Call is expected on the 7th of February and will be published by Random House Worlds.
E.K. Johnston has several YA titles to her name, and that includes Star Wars: Ahsoka. That’s promising, as Ahsoka has had over seven thousand reviews and scored 4.5/5 stars.
The second book is by Jaleigh Johnson and is called The Road to Neverwinter. I’d suggest we end up in the Forgotten Realm’s city of Neverwinter. The blurb says;
Every adventuring party has a starting quest. Join Edgin Darvis and his team of heroic (well, occasionally heroic) heisters in this official prequel to the film Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.
Edgin Darvis is Chris Pine’s bard character.
The Road to Neverwinter is also due in February, which means both come out a month before Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, as the movie is currently slated for March.
