Last Sabbath is an early darling of this year’s ZineQuest and offers a GM-less, rules-lite and coop RPG experience, and it’s a solo game too.
Join a Coven and together go through the initiation to facing up to some terrible threat. There are nearly two weeks left on the clock, a typically short ZineQuest run on funds, but the €5,000 Fire Key is asking for has been met already. There’s €12,000+ pledged already. I may join them, and you can join too or find out more at Kickstarter.
There’s a free to download and in English / Fire Key’s native Italian as a preview of the game. Pledges and add-ons will be available in both languages,
Last Sabbath is a journalling game which means writing down your progress and going at a measured pace. In coop mode, everyone has the same ability to change events dramatically.
Last Sabbath is a role-playing game inspired by the wonderful witch tales of Jessica Cioffi, otherwise known as Loputyn, author of Cotton Tales, Francis and Aether. Featuring 48 exquisitely-illustrated pages, this zine is a memorable experience about sacrifice, redemption and the power of magic.
Kickstarter isn’t (supposed to be) all about retail; you can support the project by telling people about it or offering some money. If you can offer €5, that’s enough to secure a PDF copy of the game as a reward.
At €15, and with worldwide shipping (thank EU), there’s a physical copy of the zine. At €30, the reward pile gets an exclusive and numbered signed print.
The top tier is €90, which offers 10 copies of the zine, ideal for gaming groups or perhaps some retailers.
The estimated delivery of the project is for February next year.
