Anime names are great. Yesterday, Geek Native had the trailer for The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague about a magical ice man Today, there’s “More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers Anime”.
The series is based on Yūki Kanamaru’s Fūfu Ijō, Koibito Miman manga. The eighth volume of the printed series came out this May and has been going since 2018.
What sort of relationship do these two have, then? It’s a set-up wherein high school students are forced to live as a pretend couple. Why? It’s part of the learning experience and the “martial training” class.
Jiro Yakuin and Akari Watanabe are paired, but are nothing like each other, so to earn maximum marks, they start living together. As they practice “martial training” like kissing, not only do they earn points, but they grow emotionally together.
Studio Mother is making the series, with Takao Kato directing. The anime is due this October.
