The horror sci-fi RPG Death in Space, from Christian Plogfors and Carl Niblaeus of Stockholm Kartell, has been picked up for distribution by Free League Publishing.
The tabletop roleplaying game was created by Christian Plogfors and Carl Nibeaus and features a broken world in a collapsing universe. It’s a grim future of risk and reward and desperate blue-collar workers.
Set in the war-torn Tenebris system, the game is of characters looking for a big score amongst the remains of greedy gem mines, be that as explorers, couriers or labourers.
The game is due out on April 26th but can be pre-ordered today.
DEATH IN SPACE is a game about adventure and uncertain journeys out into the darkness of space, where the void whispers to the unlucky and imbues travelers’ bodies with strange powers. It is about you and your crew making a home of your spacecraft or station, your only sanctuary in a dangerous universe. Most of all, it is about surviving in an abandoned frontier system where resources are scarce, and competition is fierce.
The RPG uses lightweight rules designed to be quick to learn and play. Death In Space includes character generators and space-station and spacecraft creation rules, and there are also mechanics for repairs, boarding and spaceship conflicts.
An introduction to Tenebris, with locations and history, comes with rules and an introductory scenario to get your campaign going. Death in Space has more than 40 tables and generators for GMs to use to access setting flavour quickly and 20 different cosmic mutations to represent the physical manifestations of the void.
