Lasers & Feelings is a Name Your Own Price one-page RPG inspired by a song from the geeky music of The Doubleclicks.
In the game, characters are crew on Raptor, an interstellar scout ship. The game suits 3 to 6 players, and the action kicks off when Captain Darcy is overcome by a strange psychic entity and the crew, the characters, have to cope by themselves.
A new change to the game makes it legal to write and sell your own RPGs based on designer John Harper’s original.
The CC-BY license insists that Harper must be credited in the hacks of the game. In other words, designers can come along and change the rules, copy them, adapt bits here and there, but there must always be a pointer back to the original.
If these designers sell their own modified versions, their hacks, they can do that. John Harper isn’t asking for a penny. He just wants people to know about the original.
Lasers & Feelings is a popular game, and there have been many hacks of it.
