Netflix has had a busy anime day with two different announcements that both feature Powerhouse Animation.
Skull Island anime
There’s a King Kong animation coming.
Netflix uses the phrase Monsterverse, tying it into the family of monster films from Legendary.
This week, of course, the trailer for Godzilla vs Kong was released.
Tomb Raider
There’s a Tomb Raider anime on the way, as well.
Once again, this animation ties in with what has gone on before. Netflix says that the events in the anime follow on from the events in the video game reboot.
Both anime are being made by Powerhouse, and they’ve previously done Castlevania and Seis Manos for Netflix.
Starchild, Masters of the Universe: Revelation, New Balance, Old Spice, Spidersaurs, Metal Wolf Chaos, Battle Chasers and others have also come from the experienced production company’s digital drawing pads.
