Vlad Love: Ghost in the Shell director’s next anime

Mamoru Oshii’s new anime premieres in Japan this December 28th. The Ghost in the Shell and Mobile Police Patlabor’s Vlad Love is a slapstick fantasy.

Originally due to be released earlier this year, like so many others, Vlad Love had to be delayed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

In the 12-part series, Mitsuga Bamba finds meaning in life by doing the right thing and making time to donate blood. Despite having to deal with a mean nurse, the schoolgirl visits the local blood bank often.

One night, Mitsuga encounters a pale, mysterious foreigner who looks about to pass out. Before she does, though, the stranger destroys the blood bank.
