Halo: Reach trailer

December 13, 2009 by Andrew Girdwood 2 Comments

Can you wait for Halo: Reach? I’m not sure I can. Halo is the only game that challenges Left 4 Dead for pure and simple, pick up and play, fun on Xbox Live. Halo: ODST was just a small fix to keep this Halo junkie alive while he waited for the real deal.

Laugh with Princess Robot Bubblegum

October 30, 2009 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

I’m clearly an anime fan and yet I found the Princess Robot Bubblegum spoof funny. It’s here to promote the must-be-a-hit-or-rockstar-dies game Grand Theft Auto but its heavily woven up with Microsoft – sorry everyone else. I’d also note that Princess Robot Bubblegum spoof the genre so well that it could only have been put […]

October 22, 2009 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Halo Waypoint is designed to be a central hub for all your Halo activities on the Xbox and Xbox Live. This dashboard addition is there for Halo experts and fans. It’s a good way to make the expensive franchise and fantastic game even more sticky; it’ll be built in to your daily Xbox experience. We’ve […]

Bayonetta looks cool

October 20, 2009 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

We’re going to have to wait until 2010 until Bayonetta‘s out (unless you’re in Japan) but it looks cooler and cooler with each teaser. The cosplay wonders were good, the screenshots better and now we can sample the ad campaign in Japan. The mighty Kotaku are rumouring that Japanese fan mag Famitsu will award Bayonetta […]

Fighting the Metal Queen in Brutal Legend

October 17, 2009 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Brutal Legend is going onto my Christmas wishlist. I’m just not sure whether I want the PS3 or the Xbox 360 version. I guess, if there is a tie, then the Xbox 360 wins due to Xbox Live and a better gamer point system. Do you agree? Anyway; here’s a great video tutorial from Geoff […]

UK Game retail giant, Game, has scored a major exclusive. They’ll be the only retailer with access to the collector’s edition of the RPG Dragon Age: Origins. The deal covers the PC edition, the PS3 and the Xbox 360 editions too. The collector’s edition will include extra content – Bergens Honour, Grimoire of the Frozen […]

Star Ocean (4): The Last Hope coming to the PS3

September 15, 2009 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Star Ocean had been an Xbox exclusive in Japan but Square Enix has now agreed to do a dual language release of the RPG for PlayStation. If Microsoft didn’t know from day one that this was going to happen then I can only imagine they’ll be raging at Square Enix. The Xbox has been making […]

Full length live action HALO ODST trailer

September 9, 2009 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

This is the full length and live action Halo ODST trailer that GameTrailers have managed to get as an exclusive. By all accounts it’s very good – I’m just struggling to get it to complete over Malta’s Go wireless network this morning. One to watch when this holiday ends.

Assassin’s Creed 2 – Gameplay Trailer (HD)

September 5, 2009 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

I might actually buy this one. The this gameplay trailer for Assassin’s Creed looks really good. There’s a White Edition of the game that’s only available from Game.co.uk. With it you score not only a collectible model but an exclusive in-game bonus quest. I wonder if that means the other versions of the game are […]
