September 16, 2014 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

The current collection of t-shirts at Once Upon a Tee is chock full of gamer designs. There are the likes of Metroid and Bioshock available. Leading the charge, though, are some Legend of Zelda styles which stand out for me. A Terrible Fate [T-shirt page] The Legend Continues [T-shirt page] It’s Dangerous to Go Alone […]

This is a geeky cred project. A few months ago Michael Eurek was challenged by a friend to take a classic game and use modern technology to recreate the game world environment. The result is Temple of Time. Eurek uses Unreal Engine 4 to revuild The Temple of Time from The Legend of Zelda. What […]

This is the t-shirt design that’s trolling gamers

February 26, 2014 by Andrew Girdwood 10 Comments

If you’re brave enough to wear this t-shirt design then pop over to Redbubble to buy it. The design is available elsewhere but the Redbubble page is important. It’s on Redbubble that the Belgium based designer Nele says the caption is a joke. In fairness, it’s a common joke. The main character in Legend of […]

There’s no suprise Nate Hallinan is approaching 10,000 Fans on Facebook. The work speaks for itself. This collection of monsters are straight out of The Legend of Zelda, although they can actually be found on Nate’s DeviantArt page, and look far more scary than in-game. Do you have a favourite?

Too good to eat? Legend of Zelda: Wind Walker birthday cake

September 8, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

This impressive Legend of Zelda: Wind Walker cake was made by Nerdache Cakes for a 1st birthday. The boat is made from vanilla and chocolate chip cake (we’re told; kid friendly) with vanilla and almond buttercream, a layer of crushed sugar cookies and plenty of white chocolate ganache. Link and Zelda are 8″ fondant figures.

Making Link’s Master Sword in real life could kill you

August 10, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

In many ways this is an interesting video. It shows some modern expert blacksmiths making Legend of Zelda’s Master Sword. This is Link’s Master Sword. It is just a recreation of course but the sword itself is just cut from a sheet of steel. Does that mean it’s weak? Not at all; watch to end […]

This Zelda lap quilt comes with a decreasing heart body pillow. It’s sold by Game Inspired Guilts on Etsy who have a collection of goodies. The Link lap quilt is 70 inches by 48. It’ll be ideal for staying cosy while gaming. I’m not sure about the decreasing heart pillow cover. I think it could […]
