Doraleous and Associates

December 20, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Doraleous and Associates is an animated YouTube series spoofing the adventures of a band of heroes. In many ways this is a gaming group that you’ll already be familiar with. Tusken Raider rides fierce Bantha… pug

November 7, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

If you look closely you may see that this is not a real Bantha. That Tusken Raider is just a toy. In fact, the so-called Bantha is actually Chubbs the Wampug. Chubbs has a history of dressing up as a wampa so this Banthapug is a new direction for him.

Sound of Cylons

October 21, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

You might remember this classic Simon & Garfunkel song. It was widely accepted that at least one half of the talented duo was a skin-job but there was never consensus on which one was the murderous killer. Evidence to suggest the partnership had toaster tendencies first emerged after they recorded, “Sound of Cylons”. Alternative history […]

Star Wars figures: Dead Ewok

October 14, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Long time readers of Geek Native might well remember the charred Uncle Owen Star Wars figure. That particular bit of grim humour, I think, came from Think Geek. Not sure who came up with the Dead Ewok figure but it’s trying for the same goal.

Picture this… the secret truth of girl gamers

October 4, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood 6 Comments

Like many geek creations this image comes from Imgur with the headline; “Thought you girls might enjoy this (same girl in all frames)”. What do you think? Is it the same girl in all the frames? I think so… but am not sure about the chin. Clearly the same headset, though. Also, do guys really […]
