The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug trailer

October 1, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

This is The Desolation of Smaug trailer we’ve been expecting to air today. What we weren’t expecting was two and a half minutes that ooze Middle Earth and features certain elves. What do you think? Tempted? Re-energised for the trilogy?

Matt Smith’s last episode in Doctor Who will be the Christmas special. Who will replace him? BBC News are pushing the question. Latest Star Trek Into Darkness trailer looks incredible

March 9, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Looks good, huh? Glad to see Spock getting a little screen time in this one. Actually, the trailer is clever in that it gives plenty of the bridge crew a look in. There’s a chance to spot your favourite. Benedict Cumberbatch glows with evil. His star will climb further. I don’t know about you but […]

Second Star Trek Into Darkness trailer

December 17, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

The internet now has its collective hands – and eyes – on the second Star Trek Into Darkness trailer. No doubt people are looking for a Japanese version already to see if there are any added extras; like last time. This updated trailer includes the Khan-like hand gesture that was shown in “added extra” footage. […]

First picture: The Desolation of Smaug

December 9, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

This is the first official picture from the second of the three The Hobbit movies. The first movie is The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and the second is The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. I think Samug will be popular. He’s voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch; star of Sherlock and Star Trek into Darkness.

Seen the extra clue in the Japanese Star Trek Into Darkness trailer?

December 6, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood 1 Comment

The Japanese trailer is only slightly different from the one above. It has Japanese subtitles. It is a little longer. What matters is the scene that was shown to the Japanese audience but was cut from the Western audience. Why the cut? Could it be because of the suggestive overlap with an infamous Kirk villain […]

Star Trek Into Darkness teaser poster

December 3, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Is that Benedict Cumberbatch in the poster? It speaks how highly the company must consider his star rating if he is the only actor to appear on the poster. I like how the hole in the ruins suggests the Starfleet logo. The official synopsis is out – so click to the next post if you’re […]
